The Movie Is Complete!

I’ve been waiting 17 years to say that. I started this project in 2009, fully expecting it to take three to five years, tops. I thought I had it figured, and told people that it would take a while, that making a documentary takes time.

I didn’t have it figured.

It took more than three times as long as I thought it would to complete. I know a lot of people who’ve been following me almost from the beginning and have sent me semi-annual emails asking when it might be done. Finally, I can say, NOW!

There is a catch, however. Though the film is finished, there’s nowhere to watch it at the moment. It is in consideration at a number of festivals, and I’ll be sure to update that here, as well as any information pertaining to distribution, so you can actually watch it!

This has been a long road, and not just for me. I couldn’t have done it with more than a little help from my friends, who held cameras, drove cars, flew drones, and wired microphones. And I’m grateful for the opportunity to have met so many fun and interesting people, a few of whom are unfortunately no longer with us. I am happy, at least, that they will be remembered in this film.

I’m excited to show you all this movie, and for those of you who’ve been waiting this whole time…I hope that it is worth the wait.
